Last week I received an email telling me about Homeownersinsurance.com selling to Homeinsurance.com. Today the press release came out. Was it a good buy? I think so. Insurance is one of the hottest lead gen areas and shows no sign of stopping.
InsuranceQuotes.com was sold earlier this month to BankRate.com. A change in the whois for InsuranceQuotes.com was noted 4/3/10 to:

I was contacted after the sale by a prior owner of InsuranceQuotes.com who told me that they sold the name and complete site but would not verify price or who bought them.
I could not confirm with Bankrate.com as I was told they would not comment.
My thoughts is the sale was in the upper 7 figures but again, that is just speculation.
