I was contacted after the sale by a prior owner of InsuranceQuotes.com who told me that they sold the name and complete site but would not verify price or who bought them.
I could not confirm with Bankrate.com as I was told they would not comment.
My thoughts is the sale was in the upper 7 figures but again, that is just speculation.
It’s just a matter of time for those of us with real meaningful generics to reap the rewards of our vision and foresight IMO. My advice to those that hold them “Stay the course and don’t be bothered or swayed by the new TLD’s”. Dotcom is and will remain king IMO

Good news for you Larry as that just raised your valuation of the singular version ‘many’ folds!!
Its a great name, but also had a lot of targeted search traffic…you can also point out that bankaholic sold for considerably more than most generic domains in the last 2 years, so the secret sauce is great name + traffic = big money!
