My head is starting to spin. Is this 2007 or 2010? All the talk has been about lower ppc revenue, less money be earned by domainers and what else can be done to stimulate revenue. One would assume that domains and domain companies would be in bad shape. Well, Thats definitely not the case. Poker.org is just 1 of many big deals that I hear from trusted sources that are in process. One big deal ( I’m sorry i meant HUGE deal) that I know of will make people think we are back in the golden days. Well, maybe we are.

Good names certainly have been selling quite well recently. I don’t know if it’s because people have a renewed sense of optimism about the economy or are earning more (and spending more), but I am seeing the same thing.
Larry, do you know if the “HUGE deal” will be made public? Yes, you’ve gotten my curiosity going 🙂
Elliot,
I think you hit the nail on the head. People that have been on the sidelines are coming back into the game. It’s only going to get better IMHO.

Historically, we’ve seen this every time we come out of a downturn. Domains emerge even stronger with higher values.
The difficult part has always been surviving the downturns –
Keep the faith…
Rob,
Real estate over time has always come out ahead. Domains are the real estate of the internet and generic .com’s are Manhattan.
Brian,
I’d be surprised if it didn’t.
I know of one that is on the verge of selling for about $400K to $500K and five big co’s are all competing for it.
Besides me, the guy selling it, and those co’s, nobody else knows about it yet…..but they will soon. 🙂
My Escrow.com agent said there are tons of big deals going down over the last year that nobody knows about. So, there is a lot more going on than many realize.
Here’s hoping the info is eventually made public…
it also seems i am reading a lot more about big money being raised for online ventures… seems techcrunch talks about a huge capital raise in every other article these days…
Since the New Year, we have seen a tremendous increase in purchase offers and completed domain transactions.
In the last 7 days we have sold 11 domain names! Most were 4 figures but one for 5 figures.
There is momentum building and I hope it continues.
Just in the last 48 hours we sold:
iTattoo.com
TulumBeach.com
Pickles.net
Convection.net
Consumption.us
Nearly.us
Domains are also transnational and inflation-proof. Few other investments can be flipped or valued in any currency as easily as a domain. When inflation shoots ahead in a year or two, domains will be safer than cash or other asset classes harmed by dropping currencies and rising inflation….
It was pending for a long time but finally got it done. Its much easier now to promote the domains. All I have to do it email the link of the page right from the ImpactDomains.com website to any one who asks to see one or more of our domains. Its pretty convenient using the “email this page” functionality of the domainer script. It can be done from any computer anywhere. No need to send attachments anymore.
Thanks for checking out!
