GreatDomains.com is Sedo’s attempt to run Premium Auctions of Domain Names. While some of the GD auctions in the past have had premium domains auctioned, this is not one of them. Since Sedo is one of the largest domain name sales sites out there, you would think they could truly come up with some Premium Names to sell. However, with Rick Latona doing the Traffic Vegas auction and Moniker handling the Domainfest auction, it looks like Sedo couldn’t enough Premium names to list. On the positive side there are some decent names and low reserves. I just think this was the wrong week for them to have this Month’s GD auction.
I have added to this post the list of GD domains and their reserve so you can judge for yourself.

I’ve thought the same thing for a while now.
The only positive is that they DO have a ton of top tier domains on their “Top Domains” listings on GD and Sedo.
Most of these names are under exclusive brokerage
(they have 3 of ours listed).
But yeah, disappointed in the GD auctions lately.

Aron,
Glad to know it’s not just me.

Well, it looks like BNU.com, Festivals.de and Kalifornien.net have got off to a flying start. There are certainly some good domains with pretty low/no reserves:
Bor.net
Afq.com
Plo.net
CheapMortgage.com
TVServices.net
Yes they have. Thank you for pointing that out. i think they will sell a number of names due to the low reserves. However, as I said it’s hard to call this a “Premium” Domain Auction.
I wonder to what extent the changes to Sedo’s homepage has effected things (not clearly showing closing soon auctions), last months results looked pretty bad and I think that would have alot of people on the sidelines.
Hey, one has to realize that Latona’s is attempting to become a big competitor to Sedo. I think more of the focus is Sedo trying to take the “wind out of Latona’s sail”. You guys may want to look at that angle rather than the “premium domain names” issue…
Regarding negotiate.net 1 – 499 $US
Negotiation.net was a recent drop that is still pending payment at snapnames for $2273.
