This morning, I was listening to the radio as I drove my car. As the song ended, the radio announcer starts to talk about a product. The product sounded interesting and I waited to hear how to find out more information. At the of ad, the announcer the sites domain name. It was long and had hard to remember (which I did not). After the reading it, the announcer commented “yeah, sure your going to remember that” and laughed. Obviously it was a lousy domain name. If the domain was an easier to remember generic domain, they would have had a purchase. But due to the lousy domain name that they chose, they wasted their money on the ad.

Larry,
Great blog post! This is exactly why we started Root Orange. We’re all about giving small businesses access to generic domains that can transform their marketing efforts using our patent-pending technology.
Cheers,
