A few months back, a good friend, Hugh, sent me a very nice email. Hugh had been one of our earliest Smartname clients. He had written to me that he had registered a number of great generic .co’s, one of which was Larry.co. He asked if I would like the name which I indeed accepted.
I have been thinking the last few months what would be the best use. Its an amazing vanity domain. I had been thinking of using it for email but I did not know if there would be a number of people that would accidentally send my mail to Larry.com instead of Larry.co.
Another idea would be to use it for my blog.
I am open to suggestions andw ould look forward to comments.
Larry.co sounds pretty cool. I’d probably use it as a blog of some kind. There are a couple different colloquial meanings for “larry” whcih might be humourous. “Larry” also can mean “happy” (australian) or “nerdy” (Canadian). I probably wouldn’t do the mailbox thing.
Just my two cents.
If you use it for your blog, can you pay it forward and pass on DirectNavigation.com to me? 🙂

Why would you purchase a domain and not know what your going to do with it??
@jy – The domain was given to me as a gift.
I have done some business with Hugh and he is a great guy.
He was kind enough to offer me Rob.co as a gift too but I declined. I felt bad for declining it but since I don’t own one .co domain, apparently I am anti .co 🙂
Sorry but I just don’t see the use or the value.
I’m sure he can sell Rob.co for a nice profit and that’s what he could do with Larry.co if you don’t use it.

about it’s only use as a shortcut imo
i wouldnt waste time building on .co as looks amateurish and indeed not safe as you rightly say Larry, people may email the .com by mistake
but hey was free so a bonus lol
